Working with Parents and Caregivers to Promote Positive, Healthy Conversations About Sex

Description:  This seminar is for you if you would like to learn more about normative, sexual development for children and adolescents, and how to assist caregivers and parents in guiding youth in a clear, open, and honest manner as they develop sexually.
 

After the presentation, participants should be able to:

1. Participants will be able to name at least 5 occurrences within sexual development that occur during childhood and adolescence.

2. Participants will be able to identify at least 4 myths that exist in reference to sexual development during childhood and adolescence.

3. Participants will be able to identify at least 3 ways to assist parents and caregivers as they help guide their children and adolescents through sexual developmental milestones.

This program meets the requirements of the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists (AASECT) and is approved for 3 CE credits and is considered synchronous learning if in attendance to the live webinar. Participants will be expected to complete a post webinar evaluation. These CE credits may be applied toward AASECT certification and renewal of certification through the Sexuality Training Institute.
