A. Renee Jacobs is an Ordained Elder in the A.M.E. Zion Church and a Board Certified Chaplain with the Association of Professional Chaplains. She holds a BA in Speech Communications from Albany State University (Albany, GA) and an MDiv from Hood Theological Seminary (Salisbury, NC). She completed her chaplaincy training at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center (Winston-Salem, NC) and Emory's Center for Pastoral Services (Atlanta, GA), respectively.
Though Renee has served as a U.S. Army Chaplain, a Hospital Chaplain, a Director of Spiritual Services and currently as a Hospice Chaplain, the title she loves most is "Mommy." Renee is the proud mother of one son, Terrence, and one fish, Bleu. Recognized in November 2019 as one of Crain's Cleveland Business Magazine's 'Notable Women Veterans in the Workforce' this published poet is known for her love of God, for keeping it real, and for her contagious laughter.
